Poor Dalton has been cranky and particulary fussy during feedings for about 2 to 3 weeks now. We initially adjusted his reflux medication, prolonged times between feedings, and even changed medications as improvement failed to set in. We theorized that he may be
Teething and got him some toys to chomp down on which he seems to like a lot. But yet he continues to fuss, pull off the breast and be cranky for a majority of the feedings. He recently started crying and fussing even in the middle of the night. We tried orajel without much success and tylenol when it is really bad. Yet it remains a mystery what's going on with him. Now we are investigating a possible trush infection and are going to see the pediatrician later today.
Apart from the mystery eating problem he is learning to aim better when grabbing things. He seems to enjoy music and his touch & feel animal book. We also invested in a front facing carrier since Dalton seems rather fond of watching his surroundings from that point of view. And let's face it, it gets tiring to walk him around like that for much of the day. Now I can just put him in there and actually have a hand free to get some things done :).
