Progress

Dalton is now two days short of being 8 months old or if you adjust it about 6 months old. He has made quite a bit of progress over the last few days. Frankly it blows my mind how fast this is all happening.
Dalton started eating regularly at least dinner and sometimes even breakfast. We have not advanced too far into different foods yet but he likes banana, peach, pear and apple. He has tried avocado, carrot and green beans but didn't seem thrilled with that. Not to worry. Apparently it takes up to 15 times of trying before babies figure out if they like a food. Dalton took a big jump in gross motor development. He just yesterday started sitting up from a crawling position and gets better at it quickly. It seems hard to figure out what to do with those legs when siting up. Crawling is probably right around the corner. He is practicing being on all four going forward all the time. Sometimes he manages to move his legs in a crawling motion for one or two steps. But as you can see he often ends up with his butt up in the air while balancing on hands and feet. Since he is able to move more independently he is also quite content exploring his surroundings on his own while I have time to do other things. Yay!
